It requires faith, not sight....

"Buy the truth and do not sell it; get wisdom, discipline and understanding." Proverbs 23:23

How many books and out there that tell you what to do with your money, or how to raise your children? A ton!  But guess what no one knows what we should do better than God.  God may not reveal to us what will happen tomorrow but he will reveal to us what we need to know to live well.  So before making these important decisions we need to first ask God what we need to do and not what we want to do!

:)

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

I love this!  What a great example of what he does for us!

Bible=Truth

There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord.  Proverbs 21:30

When reading this I think its saying that we need to take everything with a grain of salt.  We know what the Bible says and we know that it is the truth.

Are you a fool?

The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." Psalm 14:1

WOW.  I was thinking about why people wouldn't believe in God and the best answer I can get is that they have either done something really bad or they want to live a life of sin.  People are lazy and want to live in rebellion and do things their way.  But how lame is that....  Don't run away from him just because you might have done something bad.  He forgives all things! And if you just don't want to change your party life, well that's just stinky.  There is a bigger party waiting for you!  Come to him!

Are your ears clean?

His Head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire.  His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. Revelation 1:14-5

I know I have heard this before but I have been reading it over and over again this morning.  The last part keeps sticking out to me "his voice was like the sound of rushing waters"   I know his voice can be calm but here I think it is loud.  He doesn't always nudge us; sometimes he gives us a jolt.  Have ears that hear. When he speaks, it will be powerful enough to change your life.

Church

Have you ever been to church and there is a child who just won't shut up??? Yup this morning it was mine. Riley won't go to the nursery and I would make him but then I just feel sorry for the people who have to watch him.  So we are in big church and I'm trying to multi task, listen to preacher and entertain Riley.  Then my kid starts playing peek a boo with some people a few pews back.  Bro. Billy is talking and every five seconds you hear BOO.  LOL Yes it was cute but I hate that I might have distracted someone from hearing the word.  So for all of you at Church this morning, if you are reading this I am sorry!

While multi-tasking today a few things that Bro.Billy said stuck out to me:

*Every person has as much of Jesus as they want.  How much do you want from him?
*When people see me they should know what kingdom I come from.

Do you know what kingdom you are in?????????????????????????

Happy Birthday Jesus

The Birth of Jesus
Luke 2
1 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to register.
4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

Remember the real reason why you celebrate!
