My life is normally a busy life...one that I don't have time to stop and breathe! LOL But since we have moved to San Angelo I have been BORED! I have a lot of free time now that I am not in school and I don't have any friends. It's a killer! I am on the phone now with Sharon about 2hrs plus a week! I long for some communication! And since I am so bored and lonely I have been feeling depression knocking at the door...YIKES! Well normally I would kick it out but being alone makes it wanna stay. So today for my devotional I decided to get some help from God and look up what God says about it!
1 Peter 4:12 - Dear Friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you.
1 Peter 4:13 - But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed
1 Peter 5:7 - Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Deuteronomy 31:8 - The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
Isaiah 35:10 - And the ransomed of the Lord will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away
James 4:8 - Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
James 4:10 - Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
Psalm 126:5 - Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.
Psalm 34:18 - The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Romans 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
I know that it is easy to read the scriptures but hard to let go of it...but come on now. Just talk to him and cast all your worries upon him! Why do we carry these burdens...let it go, he always takes care of us!!
I've felt that way so many times. Thankful that I had family to get me through those tough times (like when I lived in Pittsburgh). Love ya!
